eJobs Privacy Statement

We value all our Consultant-Candidate, Consultant-Referee and Consultant-Client relationships and acknowledge that information privacy is vital to these relationships. The Privacy Act 1988 and its recent amendments, such as the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000, formalise the already existing and acknowledged privacy obligations that recruitment companies such as eJobs needs to provide to such parties.

In all our relationships you can be assured of having total confidentiality and discretion in the way your information is collected, stored, handled, disseminated and ultimately disposed of and/or deleted from our systems. We also respect the privacy of visitors to our website and do not collect, through the use of "cookies" or any other means, any personal information except when specifically and knowingly provided by users.

The purposes for which we collect and receive information depends on whether you are a Candidate, Employee, Contractor, Referee or Client. However, information retained by eJobs is primarily to allow assessments to be made on a persons suitability for a position and for such information to be disseminated to the Client (with prior permission form the Candidate); certain information may also be used to administer the employment or engagement; or might also be used to inform you of future job opportunities for which you may be suited.

Candidates and Clients who wish to look at their information held by eJobs in its databases, or who have other queries about privacy of information are welcome to discuss these matters with their representative Consultant. We would encourage all Applicants to update us with their details or advise us of any request to delete their given information from our databases.

All digitally stored information is held on our password-protected recruitment software database which is only accessible by our Consultants for recruitment purposes. We have the technical expertise to ensure that this information is fully protected.
